Free Concerts All Summer
Every summer, there are weekly outdoor concerts from all genres of music. In addition to the Summer Symphony at Sun Valley, nearly every night has live music.
  • Ketch'em Alive on Tuesday evenings features a wide variety of local and visiting musicians at the Forest Service park
  • Jazz in the Park brings new artists to the Rotary Park each Sunday evening
  • Plaza Nights is hosted each Thursday at the Ketchum Town Plaza
  • The Wicked Spud, in Hailey, hosts two music events each week - their Back Alley Party, with live bands Wednseday nights and Voci Ingenium, with local talent, Friday nights
  • Papa Hemi's Hideaway hosts live music 3 nights a week

Local Farmers & Artists Market
Take advantage of the freshest products money can buy, all from the Wood River Valley and surrounding area. From produce to meats to wines, from sausages to pies to home-brewed root beer, the local Farmers Market has something for everyone.

Right along side is the Artists Market, where local artisans show off their talents. Pottery, clothing, jewelry and more for every taste.

Nightmare on Main St - Halloween Party
Bring your party animal to Ketchum and celebrate this ghostly, ghoulish night. While the kids are trading trick-or-treat treasures at Halloween slumber parties, you can live it up on Main St.

Just a $5 cover gets you into the biggest block party of the year, with drink specials, food booths from favorite restaurants, and more friends than you knew you had. Dress up in your greatest creation for the costume contest - competition for the spooktacular prizes is fierce!

 
Summer Ice-Shows
The outdoor ice-rink at Sun Valley Lodge has long been a favorite for visiting professional skaters. Each summer, Sun Valley lodge features world-class skaters in Saturday night performances, from June through September, with special performances for the Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Sun Valley Summer Symphony
Every summer, musicians from all over the country congregate in Sun Valley to perform a series of symphonic concerts conducted by Alisdair Neale for locals and guests. The music is world-class. The concerts are held in the new Sun Valley Pavilion on the grounds at Sun Valley Resort and are free to everyone!

Swing n Dixie Jazz Jamboree
Jazz of every style and generation, from traditional to modern, come together for an explosion of song during this annual weekend event. This is one of Sun Valley's most popular events, bringing bands and enthusiasts, young and old, from all around the country.

Venues are spread across the whole Sun Valley area, with the musicians traveling between them. Stay in one area and let the music come to you, or explore the valley as you choose your favorite bands.

The Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival
This is an incredible gathering of artists, crafts-people, and artisans, from all over the country. Artists must apply for the privilege to show work at the festival, and only the best are invited. The Festival is ranked among the top 20 in the Pacific Northwest. Be prepared to be amazed!

Trailing of the Sheep Festival
Steeped in the history of the old west, The Trailing of the Sheep Festival celebrates the people, cultures and traditions of sheep ranching in Idaho and the west.

Join in the fun with workshops, sheep dog trials, a guided tour of the trails, the Folklife Fair and lamb dining, all culminating to the traditional trailing of the sheep down Main St, Ketchum.

Bring the kids and hang out with friends during this historic annual event.

Wagon Days - Labor Day Weekend
Nothing says "fun western town" like the historic Wagon Days Celebration, and Sun Valley does it best! Conveniently planned every Labor Day weekend, there is almost more to do and see than there is time.

Workshops, concerts, Anitique Fairs, Gallery Walks, the Blackjack Shoot-Out, the Wah-Hoo Review, a street carnival, the Eh Capa Bareback Riders, the Big-Hitch parade (one of the longest non-motorized parades in the US) with the historic Ore Wagons pulled by an authentic mule jerkline, the Silver Car Auction, the Ore Wagon Tour, the Flapjack breakfast, the Duck Race & Party, and more.

Sun Valley Center sponsors this annual wine auction, which is consistently ranked among the top ten charity auctions in the country. There are several events associated with the auction, from casual picnics to the formal auction and dinner. Buy tickets early, as the event is always a sell-out.
